The task

  • Maximum product quality
  • High output
  • Strict batch separation / no contamination
  • High flexibility
  • Optimum material flow
  • Faultless documentation / tracking + tracing / operator guidance
  • High recipe and raw material diversity
  • High level of automation
  • Mixer feeding true to the recipe

The Solution

Bulk goods handling in the manufacture of additives with automated guided vehicles (AGV)
  • A total of 23 large components are conveyed by a separate production facility in the inner silos. The raw materials are divided into metal soaps, lead compounds and auxiliary materials.
  • Medium and small components, which are present in big bags or sacks, are transported to the supply level above the AZO COMPONENTER® lines and are emptied directly into the buffer tank by means of big bag discharge station and sack discharge stations. The AZO COMPONENTER® is a highly flexible container system.
  • Five AZO COMPONENTER® lines collect the respective raw materials into the mobile weighing vessels. Regardless of whether large, medium or small components have to be carefully weighed, all raw materials are carefully weighed by frequency controlled dosing screws or fluid dosing troughs. Additional discharge aids to the buffer bin or inner silos ensure the safe discharge of the raw materials.
  • The filled collecting vessels in the area of the large components transfer the batch completely automatically to prepared AZO bulk containers, which are transported from the DTS to the mixing lines.
  • The filled collection vessels from the area of the AZO COMPONENTER® for the medium and small components transfer the batch completely into so-called transmitting vessels. These empty the batch into pneumatic suction conveying systems, which take over transport to the mixing feed containers. Depending on the characteristics of the products, these are dense-phase conveying systems or classic dilute phase conveying, which are equipped with or without design explosion protection.
  • The mixing feed containers are all equipped with electromechanical weighing cells for batch control.
  • The complete system, including the homogenisation process, is controlled, monitored and completely documented by the AZO process control and visualisation system as well as the PLC. The orders are received, processed and documented back to the ERP system via an interface to the ERP system.
  • The entire system can be viewed using remote maintenance.
