More contacts despite fewer visitors
AZO at iba in Munich
An enticing smell of freshly baked goods wafted through the exhibition halls in Munich. That could only mean one thing: The iba had opened its doors once again. The iba is a leading global trade fair and has been the place to meet for professionals from the baking, pastry, confectionery and snacks sector since 1949. In six days it attracted more than 76,000 visitors. Every three years, it is the showplace for innovations from the entire sector and provides a comprehensive overview of all the new products on the market.
AZO presented solutions for medium and large-scale bakeries through to the bakery products industry, which includes the producers of baking agents and baking mixes. The company supplies the entire range of products for automating raw materials in the bakery sector. From feeding products from sacks and big bags with minimum generation of dust, to conveying and weighing of raw materials and through to feeding of kneading machines and mixers.
This year a main focus was on the handling of minor quantities and ingredients that occur in almost every recipe. Regardless of whether these ingredients are weighed manually at a ManDos weighing station or automatically using an AZO COMPONENTER® Step: end-to-end batch tracing is ensured thanks to the integrated controls.
Other key topics were hygiene, product safety and quality, batch separation and “free-from” products. AZO LIQUIDS, the specialist for liquids handling, also participated at the trade fair for the first time. Thanks to its newly developed dough mixer for producing starter dough, sour dough and batters, AZO is now able to provide both powder handling and liquids handling, including the entire controls, from a single supplier.
The exhibition team returned to Osterburken after spending six intensive days at the trade fair, involving hundreds of discussions with customers and potential customers and many extremely interesting impressions. Numerous concrete enquiries and a 25% rise in contacts from the trade show give AZO grounds for optimism about a good volume of incoming orders by the end of the year.
